Introduction

Mechatronics is the field which united the wide range field such as mechanics, electronics, control and infomation engineering. Recent years, many mechatronics apparatus has been introduced into ordinary homes besides industry. Mechatronics is a important field for our life.

In a large research field called mechatronics, our laboratory hangs up the following theme and is advancing various researches.

At our laboratory, research is advanced about the three following fields on the basis of control of actuators like a motor.

Motion analisys and control of automatic machines
Our laboratory's purpose is the motion analysis and control of various composition elements of automatic machines, and we aim at high speed motion, high precision, robustness. Our research is especially advanced for the purpose of the disturbance control of movements.

We are studying the motion planning of robots, the improvement in robustness of movements, and the environmental recognition using robots with the high flexibility of a motion.

Robots are becoming familiar like ASIMO of HONDA, and the scene of cooperative work by machines and humans has been increasing. At our laboratory, we aim at construction of a power assistant system and a remote control system, and are studying the improvement in robustness of a system.
